Solstice

Hey hey hey! First blog post, I guess.

I’m actually writing this when my site isn’t even fully finished… but I figured that the best way to test things is to enter in some content, right?

Anyways! The day is… 10/22/2020. Still in quarantine, and still doing online school. It’s really boring, in my opinion- but I do have to admit, quarantine has opened me to a lot of new things. Specifically this whole website! It’s something that I’m sure I wouldn’t have done if I weren’t stuck inside all the time with no other things to do.

I’ve been listening to “Ghosting” by Mother Mother on loop. I don’t know, it’s weird, because this song isn’t that appealing or anything- but it’s catchy, so I guess it’s running wild in my head now. It’s also a pretty interesting song in terms of lyrics and how it’s composed, which is a huge plus.

I’ve been trying to get more into writing songs after last year when I wrote three songs for a twenty minute musical in my theater class. It was a fun experience that I definitely didn’t do that spectacularly on, but composing songs is definitely easier than composing pieces… so I could surely write more songs than pieces on average.

Of course, another advantage of making songs is that it combines music and writing, which are two things that I absolutely adore.

There’s really no purpose to this post. I’m not saying anything, or trying to be deep- but if you found this post, thank you for visiting. I’m still working things out at the moment, I have a bit of a headache, but I won’t stop until I have this whole site set up and fleshed out.
