Attic

Dust cocooned cardboard flaps,
flies in the gold; glide on
punishable boards.
Pea sized window.
Falling wooden sky.
Key secured door, thick air.
Radio humming humidity and rainfall,
rust stained sleeves hanging on the antenna.
Lone girl squats on splinters
and bruises.
Over thunderstorms the door spits
beer speckled breath.
