What if I told you
That your tears, to me,
Are liquid gold and true;
That they are the purest that anything can be.
That they shine in my void
Like brilliant stars;
Saline in my dormant droid
And burning on my cheeks in scars.
Complementary colors-
Green and red.
Your freckles are stellar;
And brown will put you to bed.
What if I told you
That I was worried
About who you are in truth;
What you vie for, maybe glory,
A simple wish to tell your story
In torn pages. Smiling faces
Defaced retraced laced in maces
You don’t want to fight
Dont want to bare your teeth
They will glint in the night
Your footsteps crinkling the leaves,
What if I told you
That all I want is to be true.
To stop being split in half
To stop hearing your manic laugh
Your lies, your psychotic guise,
Painfully stain the ground whence you died
Without glory or fame
Just playing the same game
But youd promised to be a hero
Pride you paid for in euros,
In a distant land
Grand canned and fanned
The flames bursting and wild,
You turn to me and smile-
Brilliantly, brighter than ever before
Scary and weary and without bore.
Come hither and weep!
Sleep on the bones and teeth
Of us; the failed
Blown stale by the gale of breath flecked ale
& lie! & lie & lie & lie
Buy the guy waving bye and sigh,
The end,
The truth,
The Inbetween.
